IDEBRA’S 2022 RETROSPECTIVE

Follow the Institute’s journey during the year 2022

In its eighth academic year, the Institute of Development Hope Brazil has overcome barriers and expanded horizons, prioritizing education and promoting self-esteem among the young people assisted as well as the surrounding community, benefiting hundreds of people directly and indirectly.

Since 2006, when it began its journey contributing to the education and citizenship of children and adolescents in socially vulnerable situations, the Institute has assisted 3,515 people directly and, through the integration of sociocultural and educational actions, has impacted the lives of 24,936 people throughout its history.

During the year, several activities took place at IDEBRA locations, at its headquarters located in Duque de Caxias/RJ, the professional qualification course in Logistics Operations took place, and the formation includes training in Employability and the Labor Market, Social Education, and Citizenship and Basic Excel. Extrema/MG provided a course in Logistics Operations and Social Training, in addition to training in Audiovisual Production. The Institute also inaugurated its first Logistics Operations class in Sete Lagoas/MG, having for the first time in its history, two educational strands in a single state. Finally, the Institute’s base in São Paulo/SP provided training in Logistics, IT, and Behavioral Operations.

Aiming the contribution to physical health and strengthen the self-esteem of its students, the Institute encouraged the continuity of the Urban Dance Training Course in partnership with the CONDANÇA team, in hybrid and distance formats, and the Zumba and Urban Dance workshops.

Despite the challenges, it was possible to meet the demand in the four cities where IDEBRA operates and to continue the CCDU Online, a course present on an online teaching platform that guarantees a national reach for the product.

COURSE FACTSHEET

The Institute’s headquarters, located in Duque de Caxias/RJ, has three training courses:

Logistics Processes for Storage and Movement of Materials

Workload: 42 hours

Description: It presents students with a systemic view of logistical operations, including the selection of procedures and the development of flows in the processes of storage and movement of materials.

Employability and Labor Market

Workload: 40 hours

Description: It consists of a sociocultural program for young people and adults, residents of low-income communities, aimed at developing a vision of the future and personal skills that provide a better insertion in society and the job market.

Excel training

Workload: 24 hours

Description: Training aimed at creating professional spreadsheets using the main features of Microsoft Excel.

With certification issued by the National Commercial Learning Service, the complete course has a total workload of 106 hours.

Extrema/MG has the formations:

Logistics Operations

Workload: 80 hours

Description: It introduces students to the reality of the logistics market. In partnership with the National Industrial Learning Service (SENAI), Legislative and Executive.

Audiovisual production

Workload: 40 hours

Description: The partnership with the Creative Economy Pole of Vale de São José dos Campos/SP, is three months long. The assisted learning concepts of radio, audiovisual, and podcast practices. All participants have access to audiovisual theories and methods throughout the course developing practical productions that cover different genres and formats.

São Paulo/SP has:

Logistics Operator (Technical Logistics, Applied Informatics, and Behavioral Module)

Workload: 210 hours

Description: The course consists of Technical Logistics, for eight hours a week, Applied Informatics for three hours a week, and the Behavioral Module: Preparation for the labor market, with a dedication of three hours a week. The training aims to present students with a systemic view of logistics operations. The course is held at the Institution Arca do Crescer located in the Vila Prudente/SP neighborhood and takes place in partnership with Arca do Saber and the National Industrial Learning Service (SENAI).

Sete Lagoas/MG has:

Professional Initiation in Logistics Operations

Workload: 80 hours

Description: The course is designed to introduce students to the job market related to Logistics Operations. Includes basic concepts of logistics, warehousing procedures, purchasing, transportation, and inventory management.

Professional Initiation in Social and Professional Training

Workload: 24 hours

Description: The course is designed for young people who are looking for their first job or who want to design their professional careers. It has tips for writing a resume and practices for participating in interviews, career planning, and developing soft and leadership skills.
