BEYOND THE STEPS: HEADQUARTERS PROMOTES EXTRA ACTIVITIES FOR THE DANCE PROGRAM

Dance is an artistic and physical activity that offers countless benefits to people of all ages by promoting overall health and well-being. Through dance, our students can develop motor skills, such as coordination, balance, and flexibility, as well as strengthen muscles and improve cardiovascular health. In addition to the physical benefits, dancing also stimulates the mind, promoting concentration, creativity, and artistic expression.

For this reason, IDEBRA carried out extra activities intending to divulge the benefits of this art to the community around the Headquarters in Duque de Caxias/RJ.

The Rhythms Workshop class, which takes place from February to November, is composed of our student’s mothers and held the “International Women’s Day Chat” on 03/14 (Tuesday), with 24 participants. The event featured a workshop and interactive activity for those assisted, promoting a safe and inclusive space to share inspiring stories, and celebrating the achievements of each one.

The Urban Dance Workshop carried out an action to publicize the group in the local community. The “Festival do Geladinho” focused on promoting dance for children and young people in the region, with interactive activities, experimental classes, and a presentation of the theme for those present. The activity was held on 03/27 (Monday) and gathered 43 participants.

IDEBRA’s dance programs emphasize the importance of socializing, teamwork, and building healthy relationships. We at the Institute believe that dance is an inclusive and accessible activity that provides joy, fun and lasting benefits for the integral development of young people and adults in our institution.

If you want to take advantage of these benefits or know someone who would like to try dancing, registration for the workshops takes place in person at IDEBRA’s headquarters: Rua Mariz e Barros, 39 – Bairro 25 de Agosto, Duque de Caxias/RJ.

IDEBRA is a Civil Society Organization focused on training Brazilian youth since 2005, based in Duque de Caxias/RJ
