7L: CITIZENSHIP LESSONS AT IDEBRA IN SETE LAGOAS

On August 30th, the IDEBRA unit in Sete Lagoas/MG opened its doors to a day of civic learning. On that day, 34 students from the Logistics Operations course had the opportunity to participate in the Ethics and Citizenship module, taught by Cristiane Gomes, a lawyer and member of the legal department at ID Logistics.

The class reflected on the meaning and importance of citizenship, covering topics related to human rights and important points of the Federal Constitution. The aim was to empower students not only theoretically, but also to provide a practical understanding of their rights and responsibilities as citizens.

One of the practical activities that marked the day was a dynamic involving the students present, who were divided into groups to debate and answer questions related to Human Rights. Additionally, students were challenged to express their views and concerns in a homework assignment: create a drawing that highlights a possible violation of the Declaration of Human Rights.

The following day, August 31st, the module continued with the participation of 30 students. The highlighted topics included the main duties and rights described in articles 5 and 6 of the Federal Constitution, as well as aspects related to the fields of Labor Law and Consumer Law. The class resulted in an interactive activity called “Tomorrow’s Diary” based on questions and answers that helped to map each student’s profile about the struggles for Human Rights.

Once again, the Institute reinforced its commitment to the comprehensive training of its students, preparing them not only for the job market but also to be conscious and active citizens in their communities.

Ethics and Citizenship classes are part of the curriculum of all courses present in IDEBRA units, focusing not only on enriching students’ knowledge but also on inspiring them to be agents of change and promote fundamental values in their lives and our society.

IDEBRA is a Civil Society Organization focused on training Brazilian youth since 2005, based in Duque de Caxias/RJ.
