RJ-SP-MG: CITIZENSHIP IN LOGISTICS: IDEBRA PROMOTES ETHICAL VALUES AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

IDEBRA’s objective is to teach citizens. Train students in a complete way, aware of their rights and duties. But citizenship goes beyond the exercise of rights and duties, it implies acting with ethics, solidarity, and social responsibility, contributing to the construction of a more just and egalitarian society.

As its main objective, IDEBRA offers opportunities for training and social inclusion for young adults in vulnerable situations. Through professional training courses in the field of logistics, the Institute seeks not only to provide technical skills but also to promote fundamental values and principles for active citizenship.

Playing a crucial role in the operations of any company, logistics involves everything from planning to the delivery of products. In this context, it is essential that professionals in this area act ethically and responsibly, which is why, between May and June, the Institute opens its doors to another training within the logistics curriculum, the Ethics and Citizenship module aimed at strengthening personal and professional training, through understanding the concepts of ethics and morals, in the context of citizenship as coexistence values inside and outside organizations.

The Ethics and Citizenship Module, taught by the professional Cristiane Gomes and the team responsible for the Legal department of the multinational ID Logistics, was carried out in three of the four IDEBRA units: In Duque de Caxias/RJ the module took place between April 25th and May 02nd with ten students from the Logistics Assistant course.

Extrema/MG hosted the training on May 27th, with the participation of thirteen students from the Professional Initiation course in Logistics Operations.

Finally, the São Paulo/SP unit carried out the module during two days of explanation and debate on the constitution of powers in Brazil, Brazilian legislation, Labor Law, and Citizenship.

For the Sete Lagoas/MG unit, the module is scheduled to take place in June.

IDEBRA is a Civil Society Organization focused on training Brazilian youth since 2005, based in Duque de Caxias/RJ
